Hitesh Sachdev is a veteran banker with ICICI Group, with a highly rich and diverse experience of over 23 years across innovation, FinTech and banking. Hitesh presently heads the Startup Engagement & Investments at ICICI Bank. He has played an instrumental role in setting up the Innovation team and executing cutting edge technology led projects for ICICI Bank in collaboration with FinTech startups. Hitesh also leads the Startup Investment Fund for investing into emerging FinTech startups and has invested in 20+ multibagger startups.
Hitesh is an active mentor to many growing startups like CarDekho, Refyne, Open Technologies, Perfios AA, Indiafiling, Fingpay, Karza Technologies, KrazyBee, AdvaRisk, Credgenics, Signzy, Fable Fintech, MyClassBoard, Vanghee, ePaylater etc. which operate in domains across Artificial Intelligence, Open Banking, Blockchain, Alternate Data Lending, Cross Boder Remittance, EdTech, AutoTech etc.
As part of his current profile, Hitesh is responsible for IBBIC (Indian Banks Blockchain Infrastructure Company), India’s first blockchain based banking consortium. IBBIC was conceptualized by Hitesh in early 2018 and since then he has been the primary evangalist of the IBBIC consortium in India and overseas. Hitesh has been instrumental in bringing together 18 private, PSB & foreign banks to participate in IBBIC as founding members as well as equity holders.
Prior to this, Hitesh has played a pivotal role in setting up the Emerging India Fund (EIF) and has successfully led the investments in Agri Logistics, Education & Healthcare from EIF. Prior to setting up EIF, Hitesh led the investment banking vertical focussed on Mid- Market and Agri business group and executed multiple M&A and Private Equity transactions.
Hitesh has longstanding experience in dealing with SME & Mid Corporate clientele & played a key role in scaling up SME business at ICICI Bank.
