Milind G. Mungale, after completing graduation is Science and PG Diploma in Information Systems, started his IT industry career in 1987. Since then he has been in IT industry for 35+ years. During the first ten years, he has worked in the Information Technology department of various manufacturing organizations

Since September 1996 (25+ years), he has been working with Protean eGov Technologies Limited (Formerly NSDL eGovernance Infrastructure Limited). He started his tenure as an Assistant Manager in Information Technology, and climbed up the ladder to the present position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He has been heading the Information Security, Cyber Security, Network Security, IT Infrastructure and Data Center functions of the organization. He has set-up Information and Infrastructure Security Management System, NextGen Security Operations Center, Compliance Framework for Business Continuity and Indian Information Technology Law. He has implemented various Information / Cyber Security technologies and practices in addition to effective Network Security Architecture deployment based on principle of “Defense-In-Depth”.  He has been actively contributing to mature the Enterprise Risk Management practices. He is instrumental in the initiatives taken towards initial preparation for compliance of Data Protection Act. He has been a speaker in various Information Security forums and events. He has also participated in more than 50 panel discussions on various current Cyber Security subjects.  

He remains associated with the parent company in the capacity of Group Chief Impact Officer responsible for the group level sustainability initiatives. The company has recently launched a 100% subsidiary namely Protean InfoSec Services Ltd to provide Information / Cyber Security Consulting & Advisory Services. Milind Mungale has been deputed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will be responsible for building this business vertical grounds up, and crafting & executing the business, go-to market & operational strategies to effectively carve out a market niche in this space and deliver on sustainable growth and profitability in the domain of Cyber / Information Security domain.
