Mitesh is the Chief Information Security Officer of Jio Payments Bank – a joint initiative of Reliance Industries Ltd and State Bank of India. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from University of Bombay and holds various industry certifications. With over 25+ years of experience in the field of Information Technology and Cyber Security of which two decades were in Banking, Mitesh specializes in securing digital transactions in payments domain. With experience of managing security at NPCI across three data centres along with technology projects that processed 20 million transactions daily. His primary responsibility was to ensure that the rail-road for processing interbank transactions are stable, secure and scalable. In past six years at Jio Payments Bank he has been instrumental in formulating security & technology bedrock to build a Bank that securely processes transaction with very high scalability. Being the key contact with expertise in digital payments domain, while preparing compliance goals and developing the accountability matrix, he managed adherence to regulatory guidelines while balancing budget.
Mitesh has led information security teams for top tier Banking organisations and has personally led the development of secure payments framework across multiple banking channels. Instrumental in adopting emerging technologies to secure enterprise network and customer transactions he has managed to balance Risk and Business Priorities while balancing Budget!
