Sugandh Saxena - CEO of Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE), a not-for-profit industry association, is committed to build a robust FinTech ecosystem in India and aims to drive ethical lending practices among the Indian FinTech sector.

Sugandh comes with over two decades of experience across sectors like microfinance, social-economic development, technology and non-profit.

Sugandh has diverse, well-rounded and hands-on experience in leading sector-building works through the industry body and the SRO. As the Head of Self-Regulation and Compliance at MFIN, an SRO for the microfinance sector, she played a pivotal role in shaping the microfinance industry by leading conversations with the regulators and industry players to formulate and enforce ethical guidelines for the industry. She has also held roles at ACTED, ITC, Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA) Bharat, and Bharat Electronics.

Sugandh is an electronics engineering graduate from MNNIT, Allahabad and a postgraduate in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a recipient of the UK Government Commonwealth Scholarship and a recent fellow at the Fletcher School Leadership Program for Financial Inclusion at Tufts University. She has extensively educated herself in financial inclusion issues like policy, regulation, compliance, risk management, customer protection and financial education, including 'Strategic Leadership for Microfinance' at Harvard Business School.

At FACE, Sugandh aims to drive the Association's efforts to engage in an active dialogue with the policymakers, regulators, digital lenders and other market participants to build an ethical, safe lending ecosystem for consumers.
